The salad gets finished with crispy sourdough croutons flavored with preserved Meyer lemon. “The greatest Caesar salad in the world is the goal,” Florence said, describing the Spanish anchovies, Gilroy garlic and French gray sea salt in the dressing. They’ll repot the lettuce into individual black pots, and then trim the leaves table side for the freshest possible salad.

The Caesar salad from San Francisco’s Miller & Lux will be prepared table side. The Caesar salad ($19), for example, will not only be assembled table side but harvested in front of diners as well. Multiple carts will rove the 147-seat restaurant, which also has an outdoor patio, bar seating and private dining room, to provide table-side service. Like Chasen’s, Miller & Lux is lined with plush, circular booths but adopts a softer color palette featuring caramel and gold. Miller & Lux is the most upscale venture to open in the Warriors-centric area, which got its first restaurant last year with the debut of Dumpling Time.įlorence tapped renowned designer Ken Fulk, who also just re-envisioned Boulevard’s interior, to create a midcentury modern space inspired by Chasen’s, a legendary Hollywood haunt in Los Angeles that closed in the ’90s. The 7,000-square-foot waterfront restaurant is part of Thrive City, the development surrounding the Chase Center that’s also home to a new Gott’s Roadside and spacious Harmonic Brewing taproom.
